Marketing Intern - Spring 2021

Account & Project Management · Baltimore, Maryland
Department Account & Project Management
Employment Type Part-Time
Minimum Experience Entry-level

Mission is a brand marketing agency that believes great work comes from the heart, mind, and gut. We build brands, deliver results-driven strategies, champion integrated marketing campaigns, and craft digital experiences that will knock your socks off. Our thinking is equal parts data and intuition. Our greatest strength as a team? The ability to adapt quickly and steer clear of formulaic thinking. Our approach is simple: invest in great people with diverse experiences, and great work will follow. Ask our clients, and they'll tell you we're their active partners, trusted advisors, and (yes, really) friends.

We're seeking a part-time Marketing Intern to join us for the spring semester. We trust our interns with meaningful responsibilities because it's the most rewarding way to learn the hard and soft skills associated with our fast-paced industry. When you're here, you'll be a member of our team—not a gopher with a notepad. We're looking for someone who's ready to think creatively, work collaboratively, and share their unique perspective.

Note: Our entire team is currently working remotely. We have no definitive plans to return to our beloved office until we can provide a safe and healthy physical environment. But when we do, our intern(s) are expected to join us so that they can experience our collaborative environment in-person.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Play a significant role in managing our agency's social media presence (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
  • Completing monthly website analytics reports and providing recommendations for updates
  • Managing tasks and requests for social media and website assets
  • Assisting with writing blogs for our site
  • Working alongside account and digital strategy teams on website content for our clients

You'll learn:

  • Advanced social media strategy and management
  • Digital marketing analysis
  • Content strategy
  • Project management
  • How to use industry-standard workflow management platforms
  • What it's like to work at a mid-sized creative agency (spoiler alert: it's fun)

Candidates must:

  • Be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university
  • Receive college credit for the internship position
  • Be seeking a degree in marketing, communications, or other relevant field of study
  • Be able to work efficiently and productively while remote
  • Be available to commute to and work at our office in Downtown Baltimore when/if our team returns during the spring semester

Impress us with:

  • A minor in journalism or writing
  • Experience managing social media accounts (beyond the realm of pets and personal)
  • Knowledge of the marketing industry and the role of a mid-sized agency
